BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ has a highly effective thickening and stabilizing effect on latex paints. Especially when high in-tank viscosity and low application viscosity are required, we recommend BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ. The dosage is generally 0.2-0.7% of the total paint weight. BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ is easily dispersed in cold water with a pH value of less than or equal to 7.
BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ is easy to agglomerate when added to alkaline liquid, in order to avoid this phenomenon, a pre-solution should be prepared for backup, or a slurry with weakly acidic water or organic solution, or it can be dry mixed with other granular materials and added. The dissolution time after dispersion is strongly affected by the pH of the water. Alkaline additives will speed up the dissolution process.

IN A SEALED PACKAGE, BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ CAN LAST FOR YEARS. The moisture content of BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ in the opened package will be affected by the humidity of the air. BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ carbonizes above 250°C (490°F).
Packaging and shipping
Like some industrially processed powder materials, cellulose ether dust is flammable and can cause dust explosions. The formation of dust must be controlled to a minimum and carefully handled to prevent ignition due to heating, sparks, open flames or hot surfaces. BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ is packed in polyethylene bags with a net weight of 20kg. We recommend emptying the bags thoroughly, which can be reused or incinerated.
Security and handling
At high temperatures and in contact with open flames, BERMOCOLL EBS 481 FQ burns slowly like all cellulose.
