Tokyo, Japan, April 14, 2026 – Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. (Headquarter: Tacoma, Washington, USA; CEO: Teruyuki Sakimon), a Toray Group company specializing in PAN-based carbon fiber and carbon fiber prepreg, has entered into a long-term carbon fiber supply agreement with Syensqo SA (Headquarter: Brussels, Belgium; CEO: Mike Radossich). The agreement, spanning five years, took effect in January 2026.
Through this agreement, both companies will work to enhance supply stability and resilience across aircraft, space & defense applications, thereby strengthening the global supply chain and contributing to long-term market growth.
With the recovery of global passenger demand and progress in next-generation aircraft development, the aircraft market is expected to maintain stable medium- to long-term growth. The renewal and advancement of aircraft is also continuing to progress, thus driving firm growth in carbon fiber demand.
